- Q: Is it true you claim Rawson’s gives shoppers big-city selection in a small town setting?
- Rawson: I never said “small town”. I wouldn’t dare call Okanogan a small town. The Chamber of Commerce would ride me out of town on a rail. Okanogan is NOT a small town. Compact, maybe. Not small.
- Q: You claim Rawson’s is like a big-city department store. Then why are your clerks so friendly?
- Rawson: That’s just an ugly rumor. After all, our clerks are only human. They can’t help it if they smile once in a while. And if they seem helpful, well, they really just want the customer to find what he wants so they can get him out of the store faster.
- Q: If Rawson’s is so trendy, how come those are real cowboys buying your cowboy boots?
- Rawson: Look, there are laws. I can’t discriminate. I can’t keep the real people out of my store.
